Dr. Siddharth Patel is a biotech R&D leader in non-viral drug and gene delivery, with expertise spanning lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), polymeric systems, and targeted conjugate approaches. Dr. Patel provides technical leadership on formulation and preclinical testing strategies, evaluates CROs for outsourcing, identifies in-licensing and collaboration opportunities, and conducts competitive landscape assessments. Previously, at Sail Biomedicines (formerly Senda Biosciences), Dr. Patel advanced next-generation nanoparticle capabilities, including extra-hepatic delivery and repeat-dosable systems. He synchronized chemistry, analytics, and computational/AI efforts to optimize novel ionizable lipid and polymer chemistries, while overseeing DMPK, safety/tolerability, and biodistribution profiling to guide lead selection and optimization. His expertise extends from early formulation discovery through preclinical execution and scale-up, including robust CRO oversight and strategic program execution. Dr. Patel is an inventor on patent filings across LNP compositions, RNA formulations, ionizable lipid chemistries, and their therapeutic applications. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
